Restaurant and coffee shop plumbing
Franchise and independent restaurant fit-outs: sinks, dish stations, grease interceptors, floor drains, water heaters and washrooms, built to the brand’s drawings and passed by the city.
What a restaurant fit-out needs from its plumber
A restaurant can’t open until the plumbing passes inspection and the health inspector signs off on the kitchen. We plumb the whole back of house and the washrooms, and we work to the franchise’s drawings and the general contractor’s opening date.
- Three-compartment sinks, hand sinks and mop sinks
- Dish stations and dishwasher connections
- Grease interceptors and oil interceptors, sized to the fixtures they serve
- Floor drains, trench drains and indirect waste for kitchen equipment
- Water heaters and tankless units sized for peak service
- Backflow preventers on beverage, ice and coffee equipment, tested and tagged
- Accessible public washrooms with sensor faucets and flush valves
Coffee chains and quick-service brands
Coffee shops and quick-service restaurants are some of the jobs we want most. These fit-outs run on tight schedules with set brand standards, and we’re used to both: we price from the brand’s plumbing drawings, order long-lead fixtures early, and pressure-test before the inspector arrives so opening day doesn’t move.
Independent restaurants and renovations
For independent restaurants we walk the space with the owner, explain what the kitchen layout needs, and give a written quote before work starts. We also renovate working kitchens around service hours, and repair grease interceptors and drains on existing restaurants.
After you open
Most restaurants have backflow devices that need testing once a year. We test them as ASSE-certified testers and give you the report for your water supplier.

Questions we get asked
Do you plumb franchise restaurant and coffee shop fit-outs?
Yes. We plumb coffee-chain, quick-service and independent restaurant fit-outs, working to the brand’s drawings and the general contractor’s schedule, from rough-in to final inspection.
Do you install grease interceptors?
Yes. We install and replace grease and oil interceptors sized to the kitchen fixtures they serve, and connect them to the drainage system to code.
Do coffee machines and ice makers need backflow protection?
Usually, yes. Beverage, coffee and ice equipment connected to the water supply generally needs a backflow preventer. We install the right device and test it.
